if its not too much hastle could you tell me where to find the info on how the 'ping' works and what exactly it does!

Which ping do you mean?

- The network ping (multiplayer)
- the ASDIC ping (Destroyer)

can any body tell me how you comunicate with the others once you've clicked into a game and you're waiting for the others to click ready? my 'num lock' key doesn't seem to work there.
Also is it considered 'bad' to talk too much while in the game?

I guess they use teamspeak or skype for communication.
