Love his shows or hate them, he was part of modern American history, and will be missed.

I remember my favourite episode of Gilligan's Island.

It was the one where the Professor and the skipper had this plan for getting off the island, but at the last moment, Gilligan messed it up.

If only for giving us "Gilligan" and the silly laughs we got from watching it, he deserves a place in TV history; some of his shows are way better than some of the things we watch today...

BTW, did he ever resolve the "Ginger or Mary Ann" controversy?...

Growing up, Gilligan's Island was always on daytime TV... if i was home with a cold or the flu, or if i was enjoying a summer off the show entertained the heck out of me.

We all have to go, i guess what matters is how people remember you.

He will be remembered with fondness.

Can't say I remember that one. Doesn't sound familiar at all.
