Glad to hear that it worked.
![]() Why does it make such a difference - I'm not sure. You also have to consider that Win7 is much heavier on your graphics to begin with, especially if you have all the pretty Aero effects on in addition that it is heavier on resourses all-together. Though I have to admit, even though I vote for Unix any day, Win7 seems to be a very stable and efficient system. |

Ahoy Captains!! Arrrggghhh
![]() It doesn't have to be a problem with Windows 7 everytime - I have Xp and can have trouble too - sometimes some mods can make trouble too - I have run the orginal game without trouble - but with some mods then I have trouble... I don't know why - I have notice that after some of the mods I have encounter that the game "jumps out to windows" - can't tell exactly wich mod causes the trouble.... But I have tried Open Horizons and some other mods - some combinations maybe can cause trouble, and the order or way the mods are installed - sometimes it's just work with, reinstall the game - orginal - then it seems to work... But "IRAI_0_0_30_ByTheDarkWraith" is recommended for a little more realism in the game... Last edited by finell; 08-27-11 at 03:30 PM. |

I'm using Win7 32 bit with 4 gig and had some issues so I download "Game Booster" and this helped me.

Try ditching the shadow improvement mod. I tracked it down to the reason mine was lagging soooooooooooooo bad.
It's a nice mod and all, but it just made my laptop crawl. Funny when I can run Crysis maxed out, along with another game, but this one lags along like I'm back on my old win98 comp.
