Thanks, fellas. Yes, we would like people to join in the forum discussions as well as take files. Why? Well, we want Subsim to grow and become a strong community. That is the best way to encourage game developers that there is a market for a future submarine simulation. And these days, sub games are not looking very likely.

This also seems to be the Website to find out about "New Game" info.

And our members know how to find it too.

it is a sad situation there is NOT enough sub sims out there and i wish there were i injoyed my life aboard the sub and i injoy playing subsims i wish there were better manuals on the targeting and useing the hydraphones for targeting rather than radar bicouse in RL if you use Radar or sonar you have just given your own position away

Default Not enough Sub games?

I think that SH5 is pretty cool and although I dont play it all the time I always come back to it from time to time. I have Open horizons loaded as a mod and need to get the version II fired up, so hope this unlocks the system

Default Newest LWAMI Mod

I am anxious to download the new LWAMI 3.11 Mod and getting back into DW. It has been over 3 years since I played DW. I have been using Subsim since the 688 and Sub Command days. Love the site.

To add to my post count.
For the guys (and girls, if there are any) you wouldn't notice the download hit because having been here all the time, as a mod is released, you just download it, whereas for a total newcomer, or someone that was away from the sim for a while, like me, coming into an environment like this that has so many excellent mods means we try to download them all in bulk.

I think imposing the limit is a good idea to draw the lurkers out and into the community (myself included); i've never been a big poster on most forums i am a member of, mostly due to the level of expertise that already exists within that community, but i'd help where i could/can.

Hey, do we get bonus download points for longer posts?
