Looks like the Defense didn't do their homework too well on the Housekeeper!
Bad job.

Yea, i wonder why.

So, a sexual encounter happened, ok.
But now, after all the lies etc from the woman, under what pretense did this sexual encounter take place? Was it mutual, was it forced, was it this, was it that?
The case will get thrown out.

Charges about sexual assault are one of the best way to clean the road ahead of unwanted political enemies. Julian Assange, now Dominique Strauss-Kahn. Even when the accused gets cleared of all charges - the bad stigma stays with them.

You're suggesting it was a set-up?
Highly likely, but then again, we will never really know.

If there are doubts or misgivings about the womans version of events then yes, it should be thrown out.

Innocent until proven guilty.

It is sad when women (and I don't know if this includes this woman) fabricates or out right lies about the horrible crime of rape.

All the more reason for a full investigation whenever anyone is accused of rape. Sadly the concept "a woman would never lie about rape" is sophism.

As a society, we need to get away from the perception that if a man is accused of rape, he is automatically probably guilty.

Agreed....and if it turns out she has fabricated it all she should be charged with whatever US laws allow.

In the UK it would be at the very least 'Wasting Police Time'.

Equally sad is that women who falsify rape charges are seldom charged.
