"Abandon Uboat" Mod?

Hello Kaleuns,

I was wondering if there is a "Klar bei Tauchretter- Abandon Uboat" Mod.
When I surface my seriously damaged uboat, it is destroyed with all hands lost. Isn´t there a chance to order your crew to leave the damaged boat without suffering a total loss of the entire crew?

Not sure whether there is, but sounds a good idea for a mod

If you use SH3 Commander you will have the option to change your status from KIA to "surrendered at sea" or something similar, but only after the fact, i.e., the career ends in your death and you exit the game, then go into Commander and change it.

There is some buzz lately though about a possible "abandon ship" option being worked into the game:
