No, we always roast peppers of the mild kind.

The hot ones are usualy dried and minced

Ah, right, then yes the peppers of the mild variety would go with a salad side dish perhaps but those of the hotter variety I would blend with a mix of spices and fry in ghee before adding to the onion stock.

The salad dish of grilled peppers is served with a mix of garlic, olive oil and parsley, beter known as the Trieste Sauce.

I believe you are talking about curry, I'll google up a recipee, always heard about it, never ate it

That's true only for countries that had India as a colony.

There are literally hundreds of curries from different areas of countries such as India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanke etc. some are mild whilst some are medium, hot and very hot.

The link below (which I've just found) looks okay and has a wide and vaied choice:

FYI the chicken tikka massalla dish is the most popular curry in the UK.
