There was a time when the Walt Disney Company tried to help American war effort, making instructional cartoons etc during WWII. Now they are just war profiteers.

FU Disney...

They're doing a new one?? That should go well, seeing that after Land Warrior the series has gone from good to bad to terrible.

Shame on Disney for trying to trademark troops that belong to the citizens of the U.S., not to a company.

Not to forget the one and only Oscar Donald Duck ever won: for "Der Führer's Face" in 1942.
I think the best (and most grim) Disney war toon was "Education For Death" - a really great effort to show the American public and soldiers how people in Nazi Germany were raised.

Pretty sure you can still find both of those on youtube. Disney pulls them down, but somebody keeps putting them back up.

And they were well paid for it too. Disney has always been a for profit company and their focus has always been on profit.

I remember that one. I think I might have it somewhere around here.

My understanding is that "SEAL Team 6" is not the current name of the unit, but is commonly used to refer to the unit that is now called "Naval Special Warfare Development Group". Perhaps that is enough to allow Disney to claim use of the name.

If so, .

Disney was a for profit company for sure but as far as the cartoons go I heard from very reliable people that Walt did indeed make most if not all the them for free. At that time my family knew a lot of Hollywood people, that's where I hear this. They did however make a lot of money doing the camouflage for Lockheed.

Walt was the dreamer and his brother Roy was the business man.
They had a big argument over Disneyland. Roy said no but Walt won that one also.

I knew Walt a little bit, use to go to his house to ride the train set up he had in his back yard. The cars were big enough to sit on top of them. Walt would spend Saturdays riding kids around. It was featured on the Disneyland TV show once.

Walt Disney was one of my favorite people of the twentieth century so I'm just sticking up for him.

Having said that today's Disney Studios are very much different. In fact they became a different company not long after Walt died.
