In my hometown (being a supposed seaside resort) we havew a lot of seagulls and they regularly swoop down on folk eating foodstuffs on the promenade and town centre.
After sufficient complkaints are registered the local authority will on occasion carry out a cull but there are strict guidlines that need to be adhered to. I sometimes think the seagull (or sh!tehawk as it is commonly known as) gets a raw deal at times. |

If these swooping seagulls are pinching food it should be thoroughly cooked not raw, that food might end up in a human if they are quick. |

I once attended one simply to ensure no members of the public interfered or came into harms way and I couldn't believe the guy that had been hired...he came with all the gear, sniper scope, tripod, camo outfit and a .22 air rifle LOL. He looked pretty funny in a pathetic sort of way and obviously took the task very seriously, hiding behind bus shelters, crawling on knees and elbows and lying in wait for the unsuspecting prey to appear, then his enthusiasm got the better of him and he started firing at birds on a church roof and couldn't understand why the cull was brought to an abrupt halt or why the vicar started complaining about Gods creatures being killed on holy land. He'd have made a great poor mans Rambo. |
