As far as I can tell CoD is having many initial ptoblems.

Sounds typical for a version 1.0...

Somewhere along the line we (the public) became the beta testers, so once they release 3 or 4 patches they'll get most of the bugs ironed out.

I hope so because whilst not being an avid flyer, what I have seen so far definitely appeals to me.

As for me, after the way they mistreated the Silent Hunter community, I'll never buy another thing with the Ubisoft name on or associated with it. Ever!

I'm willing to forgive Ubisoft for past transgressions (choices of sub sims being rather limited after all), but I think I'll wait for the reviews to come in (along with the required patches).

IMO, Ubisoft is making a mistake.
The newer, non-Starforce, SH3 releases could be adding to Ubisoft profits for a long time.

Wouldn't that blow a hole in some of their more recent experiments (SH5)?
