I can't remember any special effects either when they were in pursuit of some craft, which later dropped out of warp.

Hmm, thinking further,....

With an opponent having his headlights on, would you get double blinded if the opponent did a Picard Maneuver?

Actually if two ships are both traveling at the same warp speed the pursuing ship would have the advantage since the light from the pursued ship reaches the pursuer faster than light (it reaches the warp field and is compressed along with the normal space along the ship's flight path) while the light from the pursuing ship never reaches the pursued ship. So until the pursuer extends their warp field around the pursued ship (to say open fire with a STL weapon like a phaser) thus equalizing the relative velocities the pursued ship will never know someone was there.

Beware tailgaters at warp speeds.

I assume any interstellar craft would have sufficient shielding to protect against something as simple as visible light radiation.

The Ferengi have a simple but effective protection against visible light radiation... its called cowering under the table...

It may be low-tech, but it's tried, true and highly effective!

I presume that afterward they sell the table as armour against visible light radiation?

Pickled eggs and beer with hot peppered corn almost passes at the speed of light.
