Default ADCAPS oln his November

I received a question from TorpexXIII:

Hi not sure if I should post this here but you seem to be the most knowlegable!!! I want to get ADCAPs on my November!! How do I do it?? Or all of the Jap torps on US subs not just German...is there a way!!?? Apologies if this shouldnt be posted here...
That's worth putting up for modders at large. The Mark 48 and 49 ADCAP (ADvanced CAPability--hey I didn't make it up) torpedoes are wire guided so they can be actively steered to their target until they run out of wire.

I believe that in SH4 we're out of luck. Our torpedoes are only designed to be preprogrammed and run in a straight line with the exception of the Cutie. Maybe with some perversion of the Cutie design you could design a guided torpedo, but I can't imagine how. Cutie on a Leash is nowhere close to a wire guided torpedo!

So everybody pile on!

There is an ADCAP torpedo with the Ohio SSGN, Skipjack and LAi mods. However its not wire guided. Just based on the Cutie with a wider more sensitive sonar head with more speed and higher warhead power.

I'll just add that I believe Krauter is correct in the reference, however the only thing changed from the Cutie is speed, 3D model and explosive power. The seeker cone is unchanged. And RR, there is no MK 49 torpedo.

There are two main versions of the MK 48. The Mk 48 and the Mk 48 ADCAP.
