Default DD AI behaivor while protecting convoys

In AOTD, when attacking a convoy you were almost sure every combat vessle in that convoy would try to close on you after an attack and start co-operative search for you, but in SH3 as far as i have discovered, only 1 dd usually do this while the others keep on with rest of convoy like dead drones.

This is very sad because in real life all the dd's would have made max effort to try to locate you. (flank speed torward last contact)

Now is there ANY possibility to change this, even i know the AI is still a major concern i want them to wake up for a starter. I have yet to get killed nor even close by escorting vessels.. I think this is the number one problem, the uber DD bug is another thing yet for me to discover.. Again i must remind i have never played on 1944 and onward due to airattack deaths during all my careers..

YET DD's seems to act fine when not tied to a convoy, i mean, if you enter the dover straight, and get detected, the other free roaming vessels will come to the aid and close in on you. I had an experience where 3 DD's and 2 torpedo boats managed to surrond me and pinpoint me, during a few hour battle. why does this never happen under a convoy battle?

Also, if discovered by airplane, a DD will most surelt come to the aid within an hour or so, this initiative i want to the convoy escorts to have aswell..
