if we would have gone to war in 79' those tomcats would have been a match..but this is 2011. I'm surprised those airframes are still in one piece. Secondly, Im surprised they haven't reverse engineered new tomcats.

Yeah but are they up to combat worthiness?....I'd like to see 'recent' film of them as opposed to a still shot....hell, we could do that with the Harriers in a year if we ever get clearance from the US to part with them 'electronically intact'.

Oh god no, the missiles are probably taped to the launch rail, but since the Iranians know that they'll never need to use them, they don't need to worry.

They copied f18 you know...........


I wouldn't call that a copy of the F/A-18. Its really a modification of the old F-5 Tiger, and there are only a couple of those jets in service.

F=14 is a very complex airframe AFAIC.


They copied f18 you know...........
