I'm still lowering the build site for it down to sea level

Reading Notch's tweets today, storms will lower the light level enough to allow mobs to spawn and if lightning hits a pig it'll create a Zombie Pigman...

Now that will be interesting. I'd better attach a metal rod to my roof and run a redstone circuit down to the ground I think...

I didn't actually hear any thunder itself in the video though, I presume that's still to be added in. Loved the distant flashes though, would be awesome if the distant flashes had the low gentle rumble and the close flashes had the crash of thunder...would be even more awesome if it had the delay too.

Not so keen on the idea of things catching fire though, even if its limited to just player objects (to prevent massive forest fires). Knowing how vicious fire is in Minecraft, I could see many major problems emerging. Starting with Mr Fetts Geisha house.

By the way Nagy, have you been over to Keab2s ice palace? It's full of epicness and win. Oh, and snow.

If lightning strikes sand, wouldn't it have to generate a block of glass?

AKA Task Force's tower

This rain and snow is going to butcher my laptops performance even more.

The Yogscast - The Legend of Verigan Part 1 (Shadow of Israphel Special)

This is the adventure they played on the Sunday's livestream, except from Lewis' point-of-view.

Quite a bit of money they got for the charity, when Yogscast came on, the viewer count jumped to around 16k and donations started to pour in. Checked the livestream on Monday morning when Simon and Lewis were on for a bit and they had collected something like $27 000 at that point.

In light of the coming weather update, I've built the top half of my castle/thing and glassed over the top of the non-Health and Safety compliant mine. The tube now goes to Fruitloops castle but there's no station there yet.
Since Fruitloop isn't on any more I'll take a break from working on the tube for a bit. If anyone wants to continue they are welcome to, I just ask that they keep to the style of construction which I've used and let me do the naming

I might run a section North from Krauts to mine as it's a shorter distance than going North under Elco and up past Arc and Dylan.

I'll see if I get bored with mining out my build site.

Arc, with a handful of new players a new map render might be handy so that we can show everybody the lay of the land and where various people's claims are.

Seconded on the map render, we could do with a new one please.

Yeah, the plan was to go north from Krauts and intercept with your place, but I wasn't sure whether to go to Arcs first for Holborn and then swing around to Tottenham Court Road for yours or vice versa.

My Pit of Doom is now 35% less likely to incur a gravity related demise upon entry. There is a 17% chance that it also now meets Health and Safety Requirements.

We were aiming at releasing 1.5 this week, but no. There’s been significant feature creep (we’ve got powered rails now, and lightning hitting a pig will turn it into a zombie pigman), so we don’t have time to get it out this week.
Powered Rails?

^ Somekind of booster cart I've heard being talked about. Another possibility would be something that is available as Bukkit plug-in, track pieces that have in-built booster in them, so you just put it down and when cart goes over it, it boosts you.

It would be nice to have proper reliable boosting instead of a physics glitch.

Obie, I was planning to work out which was the best way round for them to make Northern Line branches work at a later date.
