That reminds me of a story my Mom told me years ago!
Mom lost an eye when she was very young so at that time all you got was a wooden eye. (Plastic was not wide spread back then)

She went to a School dance one nite and wanting to dance she asked
this guy she was keen on if he would like to dance with her.
(He had lost a leg in a farming accident and had a wooden leg)
He responded,
Would I! Would I! Would I!

She responded,
PegLeg! PegLeg! PegLeg!
And walked away never to talk to him again.
