Whoa, wha... !?
![]() ![]() Dowly, I didn't mean... whatever you think I meant. I didn't mean "it's a console game" as anything bad. Chill out! ![]()

![]() No, your reply just ninja'ed there. I'm speaking generally, something is wrong when PC people say it's because it's a console port. I have only PS2, and I only use it nowadays to watch DVDs, so I think I have enough PC experience to tell what is and what is not a direct console port. And have in mind, I HATE xbox for Halo and what it did to FPS genre. But these days, if ANYTHING is wrong in a PC game it's automatically = blame the consoles! It doesn't work like that! PC and console games have been well separated for years, except for few instances. So, stop blaming consoles because maker X can't make a game! Instead... blame Halo. ![]() Edit: Balls.. that didn't make any sense.. did it? EDIT2: Guess what I am trying to say is that no matter what the game is, and which platforms it is even available, if there's something wrong = blame them consoles. |

Think the point is that even consoles can have good games. Arkham Asylum for example was a throughly enjoyable game, though it is about as "console" as it gets.
I don't get the comments. Game looks fine, yes it's pretty, and no I doubt they edited the screenshots. What's the point of doing ambient occlusion as an after-effect if the engine can do it in real-time?

I have the PC version of Oblivion. While I don't really use gameplay changing mods, I have had some graphical ones. Graphical mods really enhanced the visual appeal of the game. When I said what I did I was referring to a modified version of the game. I guess I should have clarified. Anyway, Skyrim still looks good.

Putting on my critical hat:
I hope the PC version is tweakable, particularly the shadow resolution (the shadows in the trailer look quite blocky to me).

I'm an uncurable Oblivioner, I'm still taking an occasional stroll through it, just for the beauty and charming mood of it. I am looking forward to Skyrim, I am thankful that they again created apparently more real-worl landscapes and familiar vegetation and forests, than just some fantasy Mischmasch
