I've seen the other movies on tv, but they don't interest me enough to see them in the theater. I hate the magic nonsense. It's sort of odd since the whole idea came from the ride at Disney, and the original was pretty clear in showing the pirates as bastards (selling off captured women, chasing them (presumably with rape in mind--that was changed to the lady chasing the pirate later).

The age of sail is interesting enough without magic, and unless the do a Captain Blood and make them have a better motive... Meh.

Prolly worth a viewing but the series has started to lose its sparkle for me...heading toward overkil and a lack of fresh ideas.

I second that motion. It's like another Rocky. Really, who is Rocky going to fight this round?

I dunno, I thought what they did with Davy Jones and the Flying Dutchman was kind of interesting, but for the third one I was expecting so much more along the lines of sea monsters, mythology, etc. The third movie was called At World's End, I could've thought up so much stuff along those lines
