try running the DbgView application I included with NewUIs_TDC_v6_4_0 (found in \data\Applications). Maybe the game will spit out some debug info when the freeze happens that can help pinpoint the problem.

Using FX I also have a few sec of freeze when I hit a ship, it happens in the second when the ship fire the red flare. That red flare is causing a major drop in fps.

Yes I always got a strong pause as well with the flare.
