My word IDIOT reffers not to a constant "quality" of a person , but to an action one person , even inteligent, does at a given time. That is the meaning !... Of course , my remark doesn't mean they are all IDIOTS, who sees only that is taking it out of the given CONTEXT. I hope that did make sense.
And YES, I am keeping WHAT I said for a simple reason: IT'S TRUE!

PS - when someone is making something really stupid , it's not an argument to erase the stupidity of a person saying that "well , I know him, it's not like that". THAT is not an argument, that is proof you didn"t understand the...context . I also know a person personally (I spoke with him when they were ready to release SH4 in Bucharest) from the developer team but that is not an excuse for him to do IDIOT things sometimes , also.
Well, I was trying to be nice about it, but since that does not seem to have registered, I will be more direct: SubSim.com has had a very friendly relationship with the development team since the days of Silent Hunter 2. There will be no tolerance for the disparagement of the members of the development team. You are free to dislike features of Silent Hunter 5. You are free to complain about them, even loudly if you like. However, you are not free to disparage individuals using pejoratives like 'idiots', 'morons', 'jackasses', et al. I do not care if you think it is true. I do not care if you think it is justified. This policy has been the forum's policy for many years, and will continue to be enforced.

I thank you in advance for your cooperation in this matter.

The Management

EDIT: This is not a simple matter of friendship. SubSim.com is often times the first to get the information concerning releases and if frequently in the loop for insider information. This has been the case due in no small part due to our relationships. We are on very friendly terms with the UbiSoft dev teams. We are on very friendly terms with the Sonalysts dev teams. SubSim is a place where they are treated with respect, both in good times and tough times. They know SubSim as a 'port in the storm', if you will. They like us. And as they like us, they are more willing to cooperate with us. That cooperations helps you, me and everyone else that likes submarine simulations. We simply ask that you bear in mind that this relationship is symbiotic, and we will always look to preserve it. You can do your part in that preservation by respecting our rules.

I agree with you in terms of PRINCIPLES but developer team has finished the history of relationship with fans for now. They won't develop any other patch in the future whatsoever so argumenting "if we are nice to them we have an advantage" does not sustain itself as a logical argument or excuse for their coherency lack of their product. As I explained there is not an attack to a person or a group of persons , it's just aknowledging a FACT that is already REAL (the ladder torpedo uselessness in the game). In other words syntagm "idiot" is targeted to a FACT, an ACTION made by a person who obviously didn't think clear before doing something. I agree it is exagerated/intolerable to insult on a forum a developer team and that this thing is not tolerated. I agree with that. But I disagree taking this out of context of some subject and argumenting after that :"well even if they were idiots we are friends of them and this is why we have to look in the other way, when someone is making a argumented point".
I don't know you and I don't know what you know about making a game. I tell you this: the game project manager (lead) holds responsability even for this kind of mistakes. It's his job to stop them happening. Personally if I was the one responsable for this mistake I wouldn't mind seeing that post. of course , if it is justified and I am an HONEST kind of person.

I'm not trying to argue with you, UBOOT_fan. I have explained the forum policy. The rest is up to you.

Patches are terminated, there is nothing new to this, its just finished. The game is "finished". The remaining bugs will not be fiixed. I have written down a list of 119 bugs I have discovered, including 3 crash instances, we just have to live with these bugs.

I couldn't have said it better than you did.

I'll take it into consideration the forum policy when I'll make future critics.
