No need to fool with that for each career or patrol.
Open Basic.cfg and just make a one-time change to the amount(s) of renown you'll get in each patrol for reaching your assigned patrol grid, for completing the 24 hour patrol there, and for completing a patrol. Here's how I set mine. It's high enough to let me buy whatever I want after my 1st patrol, but low enough that I'm still motivated to reach my assigned objective. I don't want to spend time on crew management and promotions so I buy all Chief Senior Warrent Officers and dismiss all other enlisted personnel (I modified Basic.cfg to allow that - see another thread for how). ![]() ![]() But either method is fine. And PS, you can leave the completed patrol at 0, 500, or a bazillion. It doesn't matter, the use for that constant was never coded into the game apparently. |
