What a waste! All the excuses are just a smoke screen. Heck! They even have a B-52 on display in Australia and they can't give one F-111 to the Australian War Memorial!

Man, I'm not happy about that.... I'd have liked to go and see the F-111 if the AWM was able to take it in...

It is ridiculous that the US can take two but the rest getting shredded.

They were used in Vietnam and Desert Storm as well. They meant none of their F-111's fired any shots in anger, I suppose.

No but a couple of aircraft purchased as replacements/spare parts did have battle damage from their service with the US. One did achieve fame of doing a mock bomb run on the offices of a federal member of parliament who said something bad about the air force.... alas, they didn't drop a bomb!
