I have tried this mod.
The sound is looping.

Really good idea and it feels more realistic. However this looks more like emulation rather than simulation to me. Each sound produce quite an echo every time and this sound "travels" back and forth like 3-4 times and it creates sound mess. I never fired 88 gun at open sea at freighter in reality
![]() I tried to delete some extra sound files, but they probably used not only to emulate echo sounds but to emulate source sounds at predefined ranges as well, so eventually it leads to silence. Too bad this interesting development seems to be abandoned! ![]() Last edited by Grifo; 01-02-16 at 10:57 AM. |

Hey, this one is better than i thought!
Sound is not buggy, "looped" or something. This mod just tries to simulate shock waves similar to thunder, maybe its not a perfect simulation, but its really feels way more realistic than stock sterile instant sounds. I did a lot of tests in free camera view and I think its an awesome mod! Really good job, Vickers (if you still visit the forums) One who just starts his SH3 experience should really try this one, recommended! ![]() |
