Torpedo Settings:
3 meters impact. Always what I use. "Why" isn't even related to SH3 mechanics, but an Otto Kretschmer interview I saw. He said the torpedoes were running deeper than set, and that 3 meters was as shallow as the torpedo could be set without being considered a surface runner. So that's what he used. The magnetic pistols were soon to be banned for quite some time while bugs were worked out. Perhaps, if your torpedoes ran deeper than your settings they bounced off the curved underside of the hull? Just a thought. Our games are modded differently so, what works for one, may fail for another. |
