it´s as easy as giving birth to a child. LOL.

Get a copy of 'Silent3ditor' here. Install and run it. Then follow the steps from post #1 by 'brett25'.

It´s as easy as it can be. Messing with JSGME is not easier than applying the changes yourself. Just give it a try. There´s nothing you can screw by this operation.

DD

Default Easy as Gb

Help needed please I created this mod as directed and loaded it after FM int which then stopped the hatches opening ect but the lighting was working and good. So I reversed the order of the mods and loaded the light mod before FM int , I then got the opening hatch back ect but no change to the lights, how can I get it all working please?

Moin,

@Privateer:
I keep telling her it's her next birthday present I'm browsing the internet for. Good to see you, btw.

@Rickster1:
Don't make it that complicated. Thers's no need to create a new mod. Woulb be the easiest way to do like this:
  1. Restore previous state (FM_NI properly installed)
  2. Run S3D and load CR.dat
  3. Apply all modifications to the lights you like
  4. Save CR.dat (no need for backup)
  5. Run SHIII
  6. Enjoy your mod

You can't screw anything that is vital to FM_NI and or related to OH by just altering the light's values. In case you do mix up or screw anything, just disable FM_NI an re-enable. As JSGME does not write changes to the mods but just copies the files, no harm can be done to the original mod files.

Regards,
DD

yes most cetainly any interior will do. Not a foolish question, the main purpose of releasing a mod like this is to help introduce folks to Skwaser's S3D editor (with out him none of this is possible!) and then for folks to experiment and make there own mods too. There are many aspects of the game that can be altered this way, some very technical some less like this one here.

For example by editing some color settings in the EnvColors_Atl.dat file, I was able to make this Das Boot underwater green:

Wow, that's some creepy chemical-waste-looking-green-water you got going on there
But I've never seen Das Boot () so what do I know right.
O.T.: s3 editor is quite the beautiful program. It let's you change almost anything in the game. I'm only just starting to figure out all the things you can do with it, but it sure is a fantastic tool.

Half this community or more are Das Boot heads (me included). For some, that movie is the reason they got into sub sims. The others don't care either way. to each his own. I can assure you thats the underwater color in the film. Artistic license I believe its called

You would be surprised i have underwater pictures of Wilhelmshaven and the north sea and it is greenish just like in our mod to get the water color i just sample one light green area of the picture and one in the dark green and you have the green color you see on the screenies on the underwater section of the website

Best regards Hans

Hi mate,

I forgot to mention that the color is because of the plankton type in that area

Best regards Hans
