But uh, what would be the setting, war with China, some Russian renegates (pffff, not again), an Arab state..?
Hmm... well... could be anything really. It'll definantly be more of the littoral than anything... perhaps regional campaigns in the different hot-spots of the world. :hmm:

The climax of the campaigns would diffenantly be close to a coastline to test all of the new littoral combat technology, AGS, HyStrike, and especially CIWS lasers to protect from all the land based SSMs. Perhaps off the coast of Iran enforcing a trade embargo against the Iranian government for open terrorist activity. When Saudi Arabia and the now independent Iraqi government denies use of its military bases, the US/British forces now have very limited access to the region and rely desperately on sea power in the Persian Gulf to defend its agenda. That puts the player right in the middle of a hornets nest against land-based anti-ship missile and airstrikes, SSKs, mines, SOF, etc. Surface forces tasked with ASW, AAW, Strike missions, and subs would be doing recon, and anti-shipping as well as ASW, against Iran SSK's, along with some strikes against terrorist cells with HyStrike missles. :|\
