Screen Problem

Hi guys,
Thought i would give SH3 dusting off and reinstall her and hit the high seas again.
My specs are:
Windows ultimate 64Bit
Nivida Asus 580 GTX, with up to date drivers.
Asus 24ich Wide screen monitor

Have installed the game and GWX 3 and it runs fine. Have got the game set to open as administrator and set to compatiblity with XP Service pack 2.
The only problem i have is that it does not run in full screen mode.
I have a quarter of the screen each side in black, with the game screen in the middle.
Have tried the two wide-screen mods i have found here.

WideScreen GUI for GWX3.0&StockSh3

Silent Hunter Resolution Fix 1.4b
http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/down...o=file&id=1092

But neither work have tried changing my screen resolution to 1360x768 as it states in the OP of the First mod that did not work either.

Any ideas?

take it off of windows xp compatibility. i run windows 7 64 bit and have no problems with it and never touched the properties in the shortcut or .exe file. nor with running it as administrator<---- to get by this sh3 commander recommends not even installing it under program files so you don't have to deal with the user control issues that have arised. but try that first and then retrack your steps on what you did during install and setup.

Sounds like your GPU isn't scaling up the resolution. Go into Nvidia Control Panel, locate 'Adjust Desktop Size and Position', and select 'Use Nvidia Scaling'.

Hmm just been into my Nvida control panel and i don't have a 'Use Nvidia Scaling' option in my 'Adjust Desktop Size and Position' tab.

Edit: Just tried loading it up with the the Compatibility to XP Service pack 2 and it is in full screen.

Look around, it may be located elsewhere in older driver versions.
