How to convert worlds?

Edit: And what does seeding mean for the world?

When you go to load a map in the new launcher(don't know about the old one), it'll tell you that you'll need to convert it to open it.

As for seeds, it's the number used to make a world. So if you were to give someone your seed number, they would get the same exact world as you.

Wooden half-blocks are considered stone BTW. (try breaking them with axe vs. pickaxe)

Ja pick works better.

Also, as for the broken launcher.. I only had an issue updating. But I deleted my bin file (with all mods.. time to reload them all when they're compatible ) and no problem now.

Ok a few things I have noticed with the new update.

Switches and levers now show their proper animations.

Beds work in smp.

Haven't run into any chunk errors yet.

And I found 1 Slime which turned into 4, then they all started trying to moleste me. Picture to follow.

I remember my first slime. Scared the **** out of me. Mostly because I was mining in the semi dark on peaceful.

Sounds about right. Was hoping the new save format got rid of the chunk errors. And beds should work in MP too if everyone uses it, but it has some nasty side-effect, both in sp and mp...
