As much as the new motto sux, maybe they should borrow one from an old Army attack regiment I served with:
The Force Above the Best Nice little double meaning there when ya think about it.....

Typical AF identity crises BS. Considering half, maybe even over half of the AF has nothing to do with planes, this isn't just stupid, it smacks of McPeak stupid. edit: Problem with the AF is the powers that be insist on abandoning all things traditional. The only tradition the AF has, is change, and LOTS of it. Individual units within the AF can sometimes retain a sense of time honored tradition (See Red Horse), but the branch as a whole does not. That has be one of my biggest beefs with the Air Force as a branch, because I place a high value on tradition. |

I always thought it was short sighted to give the Air Force their own branch. It sort of made sense post WW2 with the belief that wars would be fought with nuclear weapons only and that the infantryman was obsolete, but long term they should have remained a part of the Army.

Ok... lets try this out......
Lets match this motto: Aim High Fly-Fight-Win. With how the AF I know really is: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Some how it just doesn't fit. |
