I listened to a little of each last night. The broadcasts are lots of fun. Do you know how to increase the radio volume? I see a radio.ini or .cfg that has a volume setting
(;MusicVolumeOnNews takes values from 0.01 to 1)
all the stock values are 0.01, so maybe thats why its so quiet?

I don't think you should mess with the ini. Before starting a campaign or mission, there is a settings control from the main menu, where you can adjust the volume of sound effects, voice, music and radio. So use that. If you want the radio to be louder than anything else, then keep that on 100% and the rest on something else like 80%.

Changing the above setting will only make the continous music from a radio channel to be played louder while there is a radio event broadcast, and thus you cannot hear the broadcast, so you should keep it on 0.4

Default for increase volume radio and gramophone

I've made two little mods for increase the volume of radio and gramophone without to change the sounds options:

for SH5 1.2 vanilla
http://www.gamefront.com/files/20005...dio_SH5_v2_zip

for SH5 1.2 with FX_Update_0_0_11_ByTheDarkWraith
http://www.gamefront.com/files/20007...pdate_0011_zip

All JSGME compatible.

The file is sh.sdl edited with Silent 3ditor at the line Music.Gramophone, on the right panel there is the percentage of the Volume (standard is 91% often too low).
