Default Arnie is back

Arnold Schwarzenegger has confirmed he is returning to his former role as a Hollywood action hero. Arnold Schwarzenegger is changing his famous catch-phrase to "I'm back" from "I'll be back."

The former governor of California has confirmed that he was returning to his former role as a Hollywood action hero.

"Exciting news," he wrote on Twitter. "My friends at CAA (Creative Artists Agency, his talent firm) have been asking me for 7 years when they can take offers seriously. Gave them the green light today."

The 63-year-old actor's two terms as governor of America's most populous state ended last month, leading to much speculation as to whether he would upgrade to national political office or return to the silver screen.

In between failed efforts to plug a state deficit now pegged at about $25 billion, Schwarzenegger took time to make a few movie cameos, most recently as a mercenary leader in pal Sylvester Stallone's hit action thriller "The Expendables."

I would of thought Conan the sword fighting barbarian would be more your style

I can't imagine Arnie doing a sequel to Conan the destroyer at his age. Still it would probably work.

He needs to lose some weight and gain back some muscle mass first. Have you seen his fatso speedo picture? It's sad.

edit:
Remember this?

I voted Predator, but, i somehow doubt that the 'magic' of the first one could be revisited by Arnie. Even though is a legend.
Plus, there has been a miriad of sequels to Predator, or spin-offs if you will. Would love to see him in the jungle again though, smoking that cigar and exuding BAD-ASS with a capital B!

The speedo pic was taken after a operation he had, so that's understandable. He got back into shape after that for T3.
It'll probably take him a year maybe to get back into shape? For movie roles?

Since both Conan movies ended with a shot of old King Conan sitting on his throne, I think a movie set in that later era could work. On the other hand the first two both butchered the Robert E. Howard originals so badly, it would take a lot for me to forgive them.

I didn't vote, as the only Arnie movie I really liked was the original Terminator.

True Lies! One of the few films I can watch over and over.

Glad to see he's back.

I think at age 63 the time for an action hero is over. I simply don't think it would still be believable...
Non action movies or action movies in which he takes a more "static" role like an old king etc. would be fine though.

^
I think he's still stiff and robotic enough to play the role of a Terminator...a very old and outdated Terminator thought

and as for roles of Old kings, means he has to be wise....now there goes all the credibility out of the window

Haven't seen it in ages, had it on VHS as a kid and watched it all the time.

Also, I can think of a few somewhat plausible sequels to it too.

Like the daughter has gotten involved with the 'office' too and Arnie and what's-her-name start acting all protective, secretly following her around on her missions and maybe save her a few times without her noticing. Then of course, in the end they all get accidentally together (think of True Lies 1 and how Arnie & WHN got together towards the end) and save the day from the baddies.

TA-DAA!

*Prints out and runs to show it to mommy*
