Default Losing Hydrophone usage S' Equator

I'm sure this intermittent Hydrophone problem I've been having since day one has got something to do with crossing the equator. Recap; My crew has usage of the hydrophones (I think anyway) But I cannot hear any ships close-by. I CAN hear the Sub props at 180. When I'm up in the Celebes sea above 0' Lat, I can hear enemy ships fine. Cross that O' Lat on my way to Java and ...nothing (except our props). I've almost collided several times with various friendly ships or boats going up and down the Makassar Strait and I just wonder if anyone else gets this problem in this area.
Thanks

Isn't that an old problem pre version 1.3? What SH4 version do you run?

Oh No, I'm playing 1.4. I have a mod soup going so it may be one or more of those bumping heads. I do have the 1.5 upgrade but I took it off for right now until I get one of the Super Mods ready, but I've used a lot of small mods to tweak the game a bit and make things a bit more real. If this has been fixed by a patch already then my version should not let this happen.
Thanks though, that might give me a clue...

List your mods in the exact order that they're installed.

Yes, I did read the following bit, but... why!?

Other things were fixed/added besides a Type IXD2 u-boat in 1.5. No need to "waste" any more time in 1.4.

IMHO of course!

Here they are. I will change the interior graphics mods from time to time but a lot of these stay pretty much this way. D40

Yes, the reason I went back to 1.4 was I couldn't continue with my campaign (my old save files), and also seemed to get a serious lag with 1.5. I'm trying to get a more powerful system so I can get into a super mod but for right now, this laptop is not at all bad. It plays all these mods I've loaded pretty darn good. I also got the phones back going into the Java strait, near the base, so maybe the problem is only in that narrow margin...Also, I have another funny that happens if I'm on my way to Japan. That yellow Arrow/circle that you see with the exterior cam to show you where your boat is under water, Well, I can see this Icon through my periscope at 180'. This happens somewhere passing Wake island. I'll go up scope and take a look around and sure enough, at 180, there's that yellow circle with the arrow. At least the enemy doesn't see it! That would be a show stopper...
Thanks again Jan

Just one more question so I know I'm understanding you correctly: You've got all these mods installed but, you can't load the version 1.5 patch?

I installed the patch and couldn't finish my ongoing campaign, yeah, and I was getting a pretty serious lag from it. I plan to put it back in though once I finish this campaign.
These mods help the play quite a bit, If I could make the escorts a bit harder I'd be happy with it. Right now the picture looks great!

I'm just trying to reconcile why you are getting "serious lag" (often graphics related) from the 1.5 patch yet you have no problems with lag running all these add-ons.

It may be I didn't give the patch enough time. I will have to reinstall it as I'm going super mod very soon, so I'll need it anyway. But that'll be on a different PC. This laptop I'm using surprises me that I can even play with the extras loaded.
Maybe I'll give 1.5 another whirl on this one but I've got to get this carrier done. The Hydrophone problem really is very localized in that, getting to Java the problem was gone. Also, the hydrophones are missing friendlies only it seems, and only sometimes. I'm probably just going to have to deal with it and hope it goes away on my next mod.

My guess is with all those random mods your getting issues.

I would load a supermod on a fresh install.
