I don't think that you could play any kind of simulation properly on the console, you would get about as much detail controlling the U-boat as using the controller in battlestations midway.

actually, graphics wise, ps3 is the uber...
not to incite racial console arguments, but I'm not a fan of the rot ring of death. Anyways, back to sim wise, probably would be awkward (sort of playing MOHAA on a PC then MOH on PS2 or PS1 (Manon?) and you see that graphics suffered alot. Covers controls, next, movement, precise movement? Say, Move? for what? DG? Periscope aiming? c'mon a PC does it more elegantly. Sure would be swell if it was a Fleet boat expansion though.
