Well at least he had the decency to acknowledge it and resign immediately instead of trying to weasel out of it somehow.

Apparently the woman who busted him found out he was really a married Congressman when she googled his name. He was claiming to be a divorced lobbyist (and several years younger than his actual age).

Sooooooo dumb. A public figure using the internet to seek adulterous liaison and lying about his vital stats to boot... did it not occur to him that a single search in Google would blow his cover?
