This. There is also the fact that not only are we developing new forms of intelligence according to the article, but the size of the brain doesn't matter as much as the number of neurons. If our brain is getting smaller while the number of neurons remains more or less constant, we get a lot more bang for the buck. That is, if I remember my biology correctly and if the book in question was correct. Damn that small brain of mine
