Yea "post war" but not by much; I doubt the VJ day hangovers had cleared yet. That picture was taken 1 month after Japan surrendered.

The PT boat pic was during the war though.

EDIT: One more pic:

EDIT AGAIN: TWO more...

USS Baya SS/AGSS 318

50/50 those are wartime pics.

Oh, I did not take these pics. These are from my fellow volunteers who restore her. The Torsk has a Facebook page/Torsk website were these are posted. I'm just gathering them up for all to see here. Been a while since I have been able to go work on the Torsk. I was not able to go aboard and there are others who let more blood, sweat and tears working on her than I. These are the folks that deserve to be on her deck while under tow. Life is very busy for me right now and I can not go as often as I like.

That's too bad you can't go as often. Thanks for the photos though.

Great shots Chris...she is obviously pretty close to being flat bottomed in design when you look at the non-existent support beams.

Still looks like a killer, too, don't she? That long shot of the whole boat is just a few photoshop filters away from looking like a War Two drydock shot.

I bet she still could be effective too.

Two of the Torsk's sisters are still in service in Taiwan.
