That's what it all boils down to.

The rich want to keep getting richer, and they have to means to prevent competition. The Oil industry would have to stop production, or worse yet, change their ways. The Auto industry would have to retool. Not to mention the total lack of infrastructure.

But then that comes down to a catch 22. H2 cars are easy to make, and fairly cheap (in comparison to a internal combustion engine). There just aren't enough being built to make the production costs low enough.

But why aren't there enough being built?

Because there aren't enough buyers. Why not?

There is no infrastructure in their local area to support a H2 car. Why not?

because there aren't enough H2 cars in an area to make it economic to retool the gas stations. Why not?

Etc, Etc.

No company would take the risk of the outlay of a major rollout like this. To make the cars cheap enough, the fuel available enough, etc to make the average person want to buy one... No company is goign to take the risk.

I just googled it a bit and noticed it was only mentioned on blogs and discovery news. Not any significant news paper /agent wrote a word about it. Strange in the first place is it not?

I can't believe all of you are taking this seriously. This is a SCAM!

Remember the "cold fusion" thing? It was going to provide cheep, clean, limitless energy. What a joke. People with more money than brains will invest in this nonsense and loose it as a result.

Oil companies buying this to hide it? If they do they will be throwing their money away. This belongs in the same catagory as prepetual motion machines, magnets that cure cancer, vitamins that make you eternally young, etc. Wake up, forget about the conspiracy crap, this is just the latest version of snake oil.

And don't forget the 200-mpg carburetor. The oil companies buried that and had people killed and stuff. Of course no one seems to make fuel injectors get that kind of mileage, and if it could be done that would have done it.

This thing sounds nice, if true, but the oil companies 'disappearing' it? It only takes one mouth to blow a conspiracy wide open.

And 20 years for the patent to expire. Just because a technology exists does not mean the owner of it has any obligation to release it. The reason people own patents is to prevent others from profiting from an idea that isn't theirs. Even if the original inventor owns the patent, the oil companies can purchase the rights to the technology, thereby preventing anybody else from using it.

Is it different from this?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synthetic_gasoline

Or is it more just H2 in a form that a conventional engine can use?
