The Shvkal underwater rocket torpedo being launched from a Victor III attack submarine. Its intended prey is a British Oberon SSK tracked by 3 different sonar systems about 3 nautical miles away doing 17 knots according to TPK evaluation.

Turning to bearing . . .

Super cavitation bubble is forming full speed ahead at more than 200 knots!

It turned out that the solution was very accurate(no surprise as it came from 3 different sonar systems)

The Shvkal might not puncture the Oberon steel hull but the magnetic detonation did the job just fine.

Secondary explosion seconds after the first blast. There was no chance for the Oberon to evade much less to survive a hit like this.

The hunter, Victor III SSN.

Now this begs the question what would happen if the Shvkal happened to be cruising far too deep or far too shallow rendering the magnetic detonator to miss the target magnetic signature?!

How would depth in RL be included into consideration? There's rumors that the bow sonar is able to find direction thus depth estimation but I'd like to see this implemented in Sonalysts next game or DW successor.

Fired 4 Mk 48 ADCAP torpedoes at 2 faint submerged targets from a 688i Flight III boat. TMA turned out to be quite bad but one of the torpedo hit its mark.

Straight running rotating head Mk 48 ADCAP homing onto one of its prey. This can't be good for the Delta IV crews who while trying to get away from a pair of these ADCAP ran into one themselves unwittingly

Terminal phase . . .

Almost there . . .

BAM!!! All hell break loose for the crews of the Delta IV about a good 12 minutes from torpedo los

While the escorting Akula got away to fight another day . . . .

Castout uses the RA/DWX mod. You can tell because the stock and LWAMI Victors are not nearly that pretty, as well as the extended towed array (AI units towed arrays are not rendered).

I missed your question and just read it today. I'm playing with DWX as other people have mentioned.
