Rome, Italy (CNN) -Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi is no stranger to controversy - and he is now battling a sex scandal that could end up in the criminal courts. But he is nothing if not a political survivor.

For days the Italian media has provided wall-to-wall coverage of a magistrate's investigation into Berlusconi's private life and his alleged weakness for private dancers.

Pulling a young tart might be considered an achievement, paying a whore 7,000 euros is just sad and nothing for people to be proud of.
Though obviously he didn't give his whore enough money as she still had to go out thieving.
Which of course gets to the real issue of abuse of office as he intervened in police business by getting his whore released from police custody for theft by claiming she was related to a foriegn politician.
