There is no point to keep/play the original Black May. BM can be a campaign mission, but not a whole campaign itself.

Those who never had the chance to play the Black May campaign so far, there is nothing to miss. Is the most boring campaign in SH5. It sums only 3 month of play starting March 43 until June 1 and each month you have to do only tonnage mission. Thats all, absolutely nothing else. Only good thing is that we have access to the latest weaponry and technology for our sub, but 3 months is not enough even to warm up. The stock BM is a fail campaign, made in rush just to end the campaign tree somehow dramatic.

Now, this mod fix the last campaign and open the horizons by extending the original 3 monthly tonnage mission to a 3 year tonnage mission and also add some extra objectives. Overall there is 10 mission in this extended campaign, 2 based on historical events. We have access to the latest technology for the sub and plenty of time to use it.

Most important, starting 43, the dynamic campaign its just getting very interesting and full with surprises. Plenty of wolfpack activity in North Atlantic, huge convoys with heavy escorts that include even carriers etc. The best encounter so far was to meet an ocean liner surrounded by 8 escorts rushing in the middle of Atlantic at max speed. It was such a great visual event that I even forgot to attack or at least take a screenshot. Personally, I really love this campaign and what it offers, never again I will play any previous campaign.

This sounds really enticing. I'm just at the beginning of a new career (actually my first in SH5), but after reading this I can't wait to make it until '43.

I can confirm that the Magnum´s campaign in 1943 is great! I played original Black May campaign, but Magnum´s is more realistic and really liked the mission with USS Lafayette

My new impressions-I was in 1944. The good news is that the campaign is a great large number of convoys and excellent escort, many aircraft, hard battle with enemy escort vessels... The bad news is that without the snorkel is very hard...

Hello everyone , just a quick question about Open Horizons ... can you install this anytime (obviously before black may) or do you have to start a new campaign ? ....

Maybe this question was answered before, but I have a conflict with "Lite Campaign"... Is that an issue? I mean, will I loose LiteCampaign by installing this?

you must to start a new campaign but you can use ,,silentotto'' to jump on the campaign that you want to play and you can use this mod for here to have your upgrades back:
