Food got me thinking about my Aunt Elena 'lena' Feldt. Wow, could she cook. She always seemed to have a pot of this great stew on no matter when I came over.

I knew as 'Mojakka' stew.

It's been about 40 years since I've had it. But it has always been a good memory.

Having friends for dinner tonight. I'm making tagine of chicken with preserved lemons and olives. Serving it with some ciabatta (way better than Moroccan bread), a carrot salad with cumin, a selection of olives, and sliced oranges with cinnamon and orange blossom water for dessert.

It's a fave of mine.

Another would be green chile stew (beef or pork stew with loads of roasted chile in it)—or plain ole beef stew.

I really appreciate the standard fare of potatoes, meat and some more vegetables. All the kinds of stew here are great as well. But the thing that really makes me giddy, is the stuff delivered to your door.

(lamb) Shoarma

Variation of it: kapsalon. Basically the whole plate (french fries, salad, shoarma) stuffed in a box-thingy and topped with cheese.

(aye, it is kinda nasty when you think about it. But you can hear your artories clogging up with every bite! Good times)

And lasagna, always keen on lasagna, delivered or otherwise. Ooh, and pizza... with shoarma.

Oh god... No! What have you done.

Now I'm hungry.
