A scandal: Every year on carnival thousands of people here dress up in uniforms with a red cross and the german police does nothing to fight this criminal, despicable act of breaking the Geneva Convention.

(The policeman is a real one)

Yes, freaking make-up-feeders!
Though I like the silent-film-era, but these days it was an art, performed by people who were professionals.

Yer, I heard this on the radio the other day... the fools.

a further description of 'jobsworth' is a useless busybody who will be amongst the first against the wall when the revolution comes. Pity we can't put all of them on a spaceship and launch them into deep space. The red cross monkey lawyer being interviewed also talked about how nurse costumes (ie party fancydress clothes etc) were also braking the law as regards the red cross...
As it was described anyone not specifically authorised to wear/use a red cross on a white background was braking the law and detracting from the reputation the red cross has in conflict zones around the world... I guess no one told the guy about the cross of St George then.

I must admit to having been called a one myself on numerous occasions.

The person doing the calling never seemed to take into consideration they weren't listening or constantly interrupted warnings/advice to be quiet and listen to said advice.....never mind the fact they were breaking the law in some way or other

The Scots must be still dealing with the snow up there way other wise they would be filling there slings full of left over haggis and aimed at the person in question.

The Muslim equivalent, the Red Crescent, is not immune from this sort of attitude, either. They have frequently banned the Red Cross from operating in Muslim countries because their emblem is a Christian symbol. No it isn't, the Red Cross is simply a direct colour reversal of the Swiss National flag, chosen purely because the organisation was originally established there.
