I think this is an improvement on the overall fog denisty effect.
I also think that whilst certain effects might not be realistic you have to keep it in the context of a 'fog effect for a game' meaning the resulting gameplay is more important than the realism of the effect. Can DirectX9.0c produce true volumetric fog effect shaders? I thought S.T.A.L.K.E.R. ClearSky was the first game to do this with DX10 & DX10.1.... |
