How can I remove the stupid bubbles that appear over officers heads ?

Also, I have a strange behaviour on the obs periscope. Even though the sub is at periscope depth and it is fully extended, it barely goes out of the water, therefore it's pretty much unusable. I either raise manually the sub a meter or two more, or I use the attack scope winch works fine.

the obs scope was set to a historically accurate height that's why you're finding it 'unusable'. You have to go to snorkel depth (there is an icon for it in the left side depth bar) to use the obs scope.

You need the no_damn_bubbles_no_damn_halos mod to remove the bubbles or steel vikings interior mod.

With TDW UI mod you use the snorkel depth button on the left of the hud , this brings you to 10mts . I use it to look for planes before surfacing .
No damn halo mod

Thank you both guys, this clears it. Just installed the no bubbles.

About the obs scope height, I remember that in sh3 the scope depth was 14 metres, and both scopes had the same length, I take it they were not realistically modelled, right ?
