Best natural way I've found to eliminate or lessen the hangover (largely depends on how much you drank) is to drink 1 glass of water per drink that you had. Hangover's are just the resulting state of the body being dehydrated from the alcohol. Obviously if you drank 16-20 beers (like many will later tonight while partying) consuming an equal amount of water will cause you to honk.

If you've had too much, to the point where you are invisible you should try to drink as much water as your stomach can handle at that point. While you may think you're the invisible eradicator 6 hours later you're gonna be a rock. If I go to a large party/bar and know I'll be consuming a lot I'll place water bottles (the plastic bottled water ones) next to places I know that I will stumble by on my journey to the couch, bed, or floor when I get home.

Drinking water the night before won't cure a hangover, the next morning you won't feel like you're inside a sub getting dc'd everytime someone makes a noise. Instead it'll just be a regular hangover. Only drink a 6 pack or a few mixed drinks 3 or 4 glasses of water at times can be enough to stave off the hangover all together (save the headache, that seems to be a universal constant).
