I just got a late christmass present, someone ****ed up the schedule, im now doing a 24 hour shift isntead of being at home.****

24 hours is exactly the legal limit for time spent at work without rest.

I get paid double because it is a national holliday, but other than that, no. I have been working overtime for close to 4 months now so i do get paid overtime for every hour i go above the norm.

253 hours in my december schedule, 3 month average is at 198, 216 hours in my january schedule, im ready to quit if things dont improve, i dont mind occasional overtime, but this is boardering on insanity.

I feel your pain. Mandatory overtime stinks. But a day or two once a month is enough for me, but I can't work overtime at all in my dept.
