The water clarity would be dependant on a number of factors, depth, light conditions, area etc.

Observing mines through the periscope is definitely unrealistic....a Kaleun would be lucky if he could make out the bow of his boat whilst submerged.

As already stated, tweak the clarity via SH3 Commander to something you consider most appropriate.

There are some old UBoot reels from the KM, where they mounted a cam on the outside, and submerged the boat. Give a a good example how things looked submerged!

As stated - water clarity is a complex matter. It is highly dependent on water salinity, temperature, wave action (near the surface) and a host of other variables. It can be as lousy as in a river delta, where all the runoff from the land can actually turn the water brown, to the renowned clarity in the Caribbean tourist spots where you can see the reefs fifty feet below. So ..... as stated, trial and error to what YOU think is right for the area/time of year/etc you are in.

In SH3, water clarity depends also of environment mod used. Try diverse environments mods (OLCE, MEP. Thompsen waters, LSH3 environment, etc.). The MEP 3 20K is clear under water.

Regards and Merry Christmas.

Sorry, I just want to make sure before I screw around with my modded SH3, the electronic equivalent of a house of cards... I want to ask... this mod will make water clarity realistic and varied?
