Hi,
Looking for help trying to locate convoys. Playing TMO2.0 with RSRD. Does time compression make a difference in locating convoys? Does lower time compression increase the change of making a contact? Any help is appreciated, thank you. |

Early in the war, convoys should be located where they would be, most likely, in real history. The Japanese got most of their raw materials from Manchukuo and the Dutch East Indies. The East and South China Seas should produce some results, though the larger convoys may only come later in the war. I have found a lot of tanker convoys traversing the waters of the South China Sea. Usually they run closer to the Chinese coast, I guess to facilitate air cover when available, but I've also found some in open waters. Just be aware that you may have to negotiate shallow waters for the larger convoys. I hate shallow water and am perfectly content with biding my time till they reach depths that are more manageable for me. Then again, like many others around here, you may not be inhibited by shallows. Either way, good luck.
