Hi Etienne, thanks for the note. I think the sim is hooked up to pump trim water into the main ballast tank so that it usually doesn't affect buoyancy. If main ballast is full then the trim tanks pump overboard. I just checked the piping diagram (some links below) and it looks like it's possible to pump the trim water a few different ways: between fore and aft trim tanks, straight overboard, and into main ballast. What do you think?

But I haven't updated this Holland sim for a while, working recently on submarine wreck maps, but I'm thinking of using this little game as a base for an X-Craft midget sub game. It'd be great to add propulsion, a scrolling background of the Norwegian fjords, and then add in German patrol craft and some big targets to sink with saddle charges. :-) Lots of work though.
