The Sal Giunta story

Wow.

Not so much the story (amazing as it is), but the man.

I used to go to all the 8th AF luncheons (before I had kids, and had free time on weekends). You'd sit with those guys, and they all sounded like Giunta. Can't say how many times I heard "the real heros are the guys who didn't come home." I feel like I met countless heros at those lunches. He's just like them as a guy—and that's high praise in my book.
